New for Summer 2007 is a 6 person hot tub and new landscaping with a waterfall and native plants.

Relax protected beneath our native Sitka Spruce and towering Alders as gentle rains falls outside.

It looks out on a landscaped yard, filled with majestic Alders and Alaska native flowers and herbs and has a back deck for entering during bad weather or when you need to clean the remnants of the days fishing.

It comes completely furnished, with TV, VCR, and high speed wireless internet, and all dishes and linens that you would have in a home.

Back deck has grill and lounging chairs.

Driveway: One note is that you need a high-clearance vehicle for the drive at the Alder House as the road is going up the mountain and the drive goes up from the road, making it difficult for low clearance vehicles to enter easily. The best way to enter is to go up Viking Way to the stop sign and turn around and enter at an angle from the road.

The Alder House is just minutes from the Tongass National Forest, which has many beautiful hiking trails and beaches for beach fishing and beach combing, whale watching, kayak entry and much more. The Alaska Marine Ferry terminal is only minutes away..

It is 4 miles from down-town Sitka. Bike and Kayak rentals are available downtown Sitka.
